It was just a matter of time when these two icons of icons would meet face-to-face. Why not, Mr. Potato Head has been around since the toy was invented and developed by George Lerner in 1949. Mr. Potato Head’s fame grew larger when it became the first toy ever to be advertised on television. Thanks to its immense popularity, Mr. Potato Head has remained in production since its introduction over 60 years ago.
As for Dorothy, well, she too has been bringing joy to audiences for quite some time now. Dorothy and her fellow characters from The Wizard of Oz first graced the silver screen over 70 years ago. Dorothy is so beloved that her character has taken on numerous shapes and forms over the years. Which leads us to the latest—The Wizard of Oz Mr. Potato Head set, which is comprised of Dorothy, the Cowardly Lion, the Tin Man and the Scarecrow.
Hasbro, the company that now manufactures and distributes this extremely popular toy, enlisted the aid of Promotional Partners Worldwide (PPW) to create The Wizard of Oz Mr. Potato Head set.
